Safer Cutting Program
On job training to show correct use.

The Paper Life Safer Cutting Programme is fully comprehensive and based on extensive practical experience of cutting tasks plus safety in the workplace. The program simultaneously aims to achieve improvements in four distinct areas:

  • Improving safety
  • Improving the efficiency of cutting tasks
  • Reducing product damage/spoilage
  • Reducing the effort for users

Six Point Safer Cutting Programme:

  • Assisted assessment of needs, including site visit if required
  • Selection of the most appropriate knife and method of cutting for each application
  • Selection of the most appropriate personal protective equipment, if required
  • Install or update the relevant health and safety procedures, systems and documents
  • Train and qualify users and supervisors in the application of selected knives, PPE and procedures
  • Routinely monitor the potential for improvement
